What is in the latest device pack?


New firmware support for devices for the following partners:

• Axis
- The Axis driver is updated to have 3Mbps bandwidth configuration.

• Bosch
- The Bosch driver is modified to expose a new channel-based setting "Home position preset" that can be used to customize the PTZ home position.

- In the Bosch driver SRTPS is set as default instead of RTSP with firmware 9.0

• i-Pro (Panasonic)
- i-Pro driver starts to provide "Intrusion stopped" and "Loitering detection event stopped" events.

• Onvif
- In the ONVIF driver by default, the Pan/Tilt/Zoom is sent in one request and now additionally there is a new setting “PTZSendZoomParamType” where client can choose which option is best for the device where it will allow to send Pan/Tilt in one request and zoom to another.

- Improvement in event handling in ONVIF driver to reduce the delay between the Pull Messages requests.

Fixed Issues:

  • Fix in the Axis driver:
    • For Axis D2110-VE Radar device, the radar event were not working for windows 2,3 and 4.
  • Fix in Canon drivers:
    • Device VB-H47 was added with ONVIF driver instead of Canaon1ChPTZdevice driver when using IP Range Autodetection.
  • Fix in the Hanwha driver:
    • There was limitation on numbers of temperature detection regions. So, the "Temperature Window" of Hanwha driver for Temperature Detection Started/Stopped event is changed to populate dynamic count depending on device capabilities up to 32 windows.
  • Fix in Onvif drivers:
    • Fixing the Area Zoom in the driver.
    • If there are 2 microphones in the product the second microphone was not working.
    • The Hikvision device DS-2DE7230IW-AE couldn't be added over Autodetect.s

It is not possible to download the Device Packs from a mobile device. In order to that, you need to use a laptop or stationary PC.

 

  

Two device packs, which one do I need?

To avoid large and download-heavy device packs, we have split our device pack into two. We now have a device pack with drivers for the most commonly used devices and a legacy device pack with drivers for cameras that are older and less used. Find out which device pack you need below.

 Checkmark   What?  ONVIF is a leading and well-recognized industry forum whose mission is to provide and promote standardized interfaces for effective interoperability of IP-based physical security products.When products that conform to the same ONVIF profile are used together, systems designers and end users know that they can easily design and use a system where products will seamlessly communicate and integrate.

 Checkmark    How?  Milestone is currently certified with ONVIF profiles G, Q, S, T and M – and we constantly add new functionality to our ONVIF drivers, making sure that they are compliant with the most recent official ONVIF specifications.

 Checkmark   Important to know:  This does not necessarily mean that all ONVIF cameras are directly supported by Milestone. If the cameras follow the standard profiles S, G, T, Q or M they will likely work with Milestone XProtect, and be able to send and receive video, audio and configuration data. However, in case of any issues, we will still only offer support on the devices our driver teams have worked to test directly – check the list here. For specific support of ONVIF devices not on this list, please refer to the camera or device manufacturer directly

We are currently certified with ONVIF profiles S, G, T and Q and ONVIF Test Tool version 17.06 rev. 1694, allowing us to connect to thousands of global devices and partners.

What about other devices?
Receive simple video and audio streams using the Milestone Universal Driver

If your device does not have a dedicated driver, or it’s not ONVIF compliant – fear not. The Milestone Universal driver will allow it to send video and audio streams into XProtect – without being able to control or configure the device from the VMS. Find out more from our technical documentation.
